SGC's greatest asset is its staff, which is comprised of professional geologists and engineers, technicians, and administrators. Most of the professional staff have graduate degrees in geology or hydrology, and several members are registered professional geologists and/or engineers in the State of Arizona.
Senior Hydrogeologists - SGC's senior hydrogeologists have extensive technical and management experience in the hydrogeologic and environmental consulting fields in Arizona, southwestern United States, and abroad. They have managed complex multi-disciplinary projects requiring the services of professionals from several technical specialties, as well as numerous subcontractors including other consultants, drilling companies, pump companies, geophysical companies, laboratories, geotechnical testing companies, and aerial mapping companies. The principals of SGC have complementary experience in corporate, office, and staff management as well as project accounting and contracting.
In addition, SGC senior hydrogeologists have strong professional working relationships with key state regulators who are typically involved in our projects. These relationships, based upon technical respect and integrity, have proven to be very beneficial during the negotiation of complex permits.
Project Hydrogeologists/Engineers - SGC project hydrogeologists/engineers have project management experience and specific expertise in hydrogeologic investigations; water supply studies; well design, drilling, and rehabilitation projects; water/soil sampling and analysis; environmental restoration; and, federal and state permitting. SGC project hydrogeologists/engineers work directly with the firm's senior hydrogeologists and interact closely with the client. This results in a quality work product that is accurate, defensible, and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Staff Hydrogeologists - SGC staff hydrogeologists support the project hydrogeologists/engineers with data collection in the field, and data compilation/analysis in the office. They also assist with preparation of graphics and project reports, and participate in meetings with clients and/or regulatory agencies.
Technical Staff - SGC technicians have extensive training and experience in hydrogeologic field work including oversight of well construction, performance of aquifer testing, and collection of lithologic and water quality samples. Most technical staff have completed 40-hour health and safety training programs for hazardous waste operations and site investigations. In addition, SGC technicians have completed 16 hour training required by the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA).
